  • TONIGHT – The Centrifuge Radio Show #67 – Guest mix from Machine Gun Militia (Oeuvre)

Our guest mix this week comes from Machine Gun Militia, a Nottingham-based crew that just released the fantastic ‘Open Fire’ EP on Oeuvre records. The four tracks within are perfect examples of skeletal, noir-ridden dubstep, and their mix expands beyond that, twisting and evolving over 40 minutes and featuring tunes from Persons Unknown, Vex’d, eLan and more. Quite possibly a name you’ll be seeing more of soon.

Add to that, new music from Mrs Jynx, Scuba, Steinvord, Radioactive Man, NCQL, Strago & Snooks, Gareth Clarke, Macka, Downstate, and more.

Tune in on www.brap.fm, 10pm tonight, or find the archives soon afterwards.

  • TONIGHT – The Centrifuge Radio Show #66 – live set from The Byte Stripes (Werk Discs)

    The Byte Stripes

We’ve a delightful post-Valentine’s guest for you in the shape of The Byte Stripes. Appearing on Werk Discs first release back in 2004, The Byte Stripes blend elements of old skool rave styles and classic electronics in a range on different styles. We’ll be playing an extract from his set at the last Free-lectronica event, which was one of the highlights of the night. Expect 303s, amens, footwork, beautiful melodies, and some straight out stomping.

Added to this, we’ve new music from Burial, Goth-Trad, Benjamin Damage & Doc Daneeka, Bownr, Minor Science, Amit, Chevron, Team Toothpaste, Velapene Screen and more.

Tune in to www.brap.fm, 10pm tonight

    Artist Notes:
This record was and is about exploring the creative process, there’s a subtle truth in creating something that drives you to create more. Creative cannibalism can work if it’s for fueling purposes. Changing my comfort zone and moving to the desert gave birth almost a full year of solid writing, late nights, love, friends, lies, truths, exploration and forward thinking all realized in a hot, dry, bleak and lonely place. This record wouldn’t have happened if not for a few simple moments in perfect position. I was also graced with some amazing remixes from some of the most talented musicians I’ve come to know and respect. Thanks for the contributions of extraordinary sound from Jack Dangers, Kero, Duran Duran Duran and Sense.

Thank you to Natalie C, Keith Derek Jackson, Digital Nimbus, The Centrifuge, Bill Youngman, Charlie Nicolls, Dj Rubrene, Big Picture Media, Rob Paterson, Glen Ganguzza, Regina Spektor, Jack Dishel, Threv, Damian Conti, Jill, Ciro, Alexis and Igloo Mag. Thanks for supporting at every chance and making this record feel like a gift and a piece of art to me. Wassim, thanks man, I’m glad we got to talking and crossed paths here. Natalie you are a trooper for sitting through 90 percent of the writing in our high rise apartment in the sky (with windows that didn’t open). Hey Leyland, I finally have some time to tell you to shave.

From their first EP on Replhex back in 1996 through to their most recent LP for 030303 in 2010, they’ve continued to astound critics and listeners alike, and have very kindly given us permission to air a live set recorded at Moog in Barcelona a couple of months ago.

Aero – Album Teaser (2012) by lodsb

Lodsb steps the processing up a notch on this release, a no holds barred excursion into digital deconstruction. Disturbing and beautiful in equal parts, this album is not for the casual listener, but is rather an intricate and overwhelming excursion into dense and challenging territory.

  • TONIGHT – The Centrifuge Radio Show – minimix from Tim Reaper for Amen Warfare (DSCI4)

DSCI4 have been one of the most seminal DnB labels of the last 10 years, and will sadly be shutting up shop in the near future. However, they’ll be going out with a bang with their final release, the ‘Amen Warfare’ compilation, featuring amen-based tracks from a huge range of producers. To celebrate this, Tim Reaper has put together a 15m minimix of tracks from the album, and you get a chance to listen to them all on this week’s show.

In addition, we’ve new music from Debasser, Lifecycle, Mad EP & Shadowhuntaz, AAIMON, Valance Drakes and many more.

  • TONIGHT – The Centrifuge Radio Show – guest mix from Gareth Clarke

With the end of the year approaching, we thought it was time to give a little back. Those who were at The Centrifuge’s Rhythm Factory night in September will remember who awesome Gareth Clarke’s set was, and you’ll get a chance to hear it again on tonight’s show in advance of his slot at Free-lectronica in a couple of weeks.

Alongside this, the usual bundle of new music and details about the final shows of the year.

  • TONIGHT – The Centrifuge Radio Show #59 – Guest mix from Canary Warp

Canary WarpOur first broadcast from our new studio goes out tonight, and we’ve got a guest mix from Canary Warp to christen the decks. A new pseudonym for someone familiar to net-labels Swishcotheque and the Centrifuge, Canary Warp combines the sleek styles of the 80s with the twisted sounds of proper IDM. In his own words it’s ‘Aesthetics of money and power… bonus kultur… cocaine… money worship… occult glamour… That sort of thing.’ We’ve got a laptop set for your delectation recorded at last week’s Freelectronica event, featuring some of his new tunes alongside tracks from Com Truise, Clark, Baconhead, The Tuss and more.

In addition, new music from Anstam, Lowtec, Space Dimension Controller, Plug, Rick James, Mark Archer, Sepalcure, Untold, Death Abyss and more.
