Mark Swift’s award-winning series of 5 EPs released between January and May 2009 gets tweaked up, remastered, repackaged and re-released as a double album for the new decade! An erstwhile member of the Sublight roster after his “discovery” by Aaron Funk, this no-nonsense Yorkshireman has been reborn as a live demon since he joined The Centrifuge in summer 2008. His mix of crunchy amen-oriented breakbeats and zany, intricate, often organ-based melodies has won him over an ever-increasing following. With a series of 5 acclaimed EPs released through The Centrifuge in 2009 and more to come, things are looking very rosy indeed!

For this mix I wanted to explore the more atmospheric end of our collective’s sonic footprint and have included as much new and forthcoming music as I could. • The Centrifuge Radio Show TONIGHT 10pm GMT with exclusive set from Cylob

Hi everyone, we’re back, fully rested-ish after the new year break, and to start us off in 2010 we have a guest mix from braindance legend CYLOB.

Cylob needs no introduction really, but we’ll give him one anyway since this is a real treat we’ve got here. Cylob is one Chris Jeffs, a master of the quirky end of the braindance sound that Rephlex brought to the world in the 90s. He has more recently released on Breakin Records and his own imprint Cylob Industries. Today’s Cylob is a music programming fiend, creating sequencers, synths, DJ tools and all sorts of exotic things in the Supercollider software framework.

English by heritage but now resident in the creative Mecca that is Berlin, we’re very proud to bring you an exclusive airing of the amazing set he played at our first party in the city in November (celebrating the release of Nexus’ Silicone Poplars LP). DO NOT MISS THIS!

In addition, there’s new music from Tim Exile, Funckarma, Volitune, IJO, Terrificolor, Consequence, Roy of the Ravers, Sigha and many more. We’re also announcing the lineup for our 3rd Birthday Rave on the 26th February in Berlin and giving away copies of Oxynucid’s new EP.

Tune in TONIGHT (Thursday) 10pm GMT, www.Brap.FM. See you in the chatroom. y’all.

UPDATE:: Stream / download the show from our Radio Show Page.

    Artist Profile Page
    Terrificolor on Myspace:
    http://www.myspace.com/terrificolor

An attraction to the extremes of music, sound synthesis and dolphins has led Terrificolor (Fabien) to the sound of breakcore and drill and bass. He used to play the guitar in grindcore bands, but the lure of sole control over his creative output led him to electronic music production.

“3” is the second EP from Terrificolor – “Murphi” being the first – which combines vintage (MKS 80, Juno,Trident, TR etc) and modern sounds (Andromeda, Elektron MD, reaktor…) into a rollercoaster trip through a deranged bastard child of breakcore, hardware and electronica.

All the tracks on this record have been composed and mixed by Terrificolor except “Délicieuse enfant” composed by Terrificolor & Rectom and “Sonofox opiates” which is a remix of “Sonata Op 111” composed and mixed by Scrubber Fox.

The principle of Terrificolor’s music is to shape the random and to use opposition, contrast and movements.
